Our Story

We are a new holiday let, in development, with a love for Ingleton and the surrounding area, we want to share that love with the rest of the world.

Our aim is to create a beautiful home for you, where families can stay, celebrate, and enjoy the numerous outdoor activities The Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Forest of Bowland, and The Lake District that surround us have to offer.

A gorgeous late Victorian property ideally situated at the end of Main Street

The Oakroyd is an imposing late Victorian property perfectly situated on Main Street, right at the heart of the delightful village of Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales. This stone-built property has had a few incarnations, originally a Vicarage, also hotel, however it has most recently has been a private family residence. 

We have undertaken a back to brick renovation. Employing a local architectural firm and contractors to help us keep the essence of this wonderful building, but firmly bringing it into the 21st century. You will find original cornices and architectural features, but additionally underfloor heating with new plant room supplying heating & hot water.

Local Area

Being based on Main Street in Ingleton means we are near to everything. Pubs, restaurants, bars, bakeries, and shops with just about anything on offer you could desire. With ease of access to all the walking, climbing, cycling, horse riding, sailing, quad biking, fishing and just about every other outdoor activity you could ever name.

Accommodation

The Oakroyd has 6 large bedrooms, sleeping 12 adults in Super King Size Beds, some of these beds can be split at your request if you so wish, all will be assured of a wonderful night’s sleep. Two of these bedrooms have their own sitting rooms with coffee table, chairs, and coffee machine, 3 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, plus there are also 2 stand-alone bathrooms. We also have a cot available upon request too, suitable for a child 0-5yrs.

Stay, Celebrate & Enjoy

Three of our bathrooms have large freestanding baths for those long relaxing times we need after an exhilarating adventurous day, where you can shut yourself away from the rest of the world. There is a large German kitchen with dining room that seats all 12 adults, along with two large lounge areas, you will not be compromised on space, we have plenty of that in store for you. We have designed this property with a celebration of life and the surrounding area in mind.

Availability Calendar

The Oakroyd operates on a Friday change over day policy.
Guests can arrive from 16:00 on a Friday.
Guests must leave before 10:00 on a Friday, to allow our change over crew access for our next guests changeover.
